I had a 1 year old staff, ihad him from a pup but he chewed up everythink?

now ive gave him to the dogs home yesterday, i feel really bad now and my son misses him what shall ido shall itry and get him back if ican or do i just leave it and try and forget him, when i say he chewed up everythink imean lots of stuff a ... laptop, shoes n, mattress, walls, he chewed all holes in my fence at back garden. but im so sorry i got rid of him on the spare of the moment .....
