What can i do regain the shine and silkyness of my hair?

well i had straight silky and shiny hair but now a days my hair have become dry(not very dry) and lost their shine.I did everything from oiling my hair every 2nd day to using conditioner but it looks like it has made thing worse for me.Moreover when i comb my hair to the JUSTIN bieber look my hair(the one's which comes on the forehead) develops curves and they don't settle down and rather stand up ( i hope u get what i m trying to say) and i think the reason behind it is that my hairdresser used straighter on my wet hair so they seemed to have lost their natural oil ( only on the hair on head).So guys please help me out
