A question about hair mousse?

I'm currently using Herbal Essence hair mousse and I love it, but it makes my hair crunchy. I've tried John Frieda, but it doesn't work nearly as well as Herbal Essence. Is there any hair mousse that keeps your hair soft and silky, but adds volume and curl to your hair?
